Beyond the Belly is Accompany Doula Care's second annual gathering by and for birth workers, and it is Massachusetts' first and only statewide birth worker convening, supported by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
This year, under the theme In Our Hands: Birthworkers Building Power, we are turning our attention to collective power: the kind built through community, sustainable practice, advocacy, and knowing your worth.
This is not a traditional conference. Every session is designed to spark real conversation between people who are already in the work. Our facilitators, trainers, and speakers lead from lived experience and hold space as well as they hold knowledge.
In Our Hands centers birthworkers as builders of practices, policies, organizations, and futures. Our sessions make policy personal, ground advocacy in storytelling, and send you home with something concrete you can use right away.
